Activities...

We run a wide range of activies in order to achieve our aims and objectives:

- Physical:- playing with bikes, scooters, cars, tractors, trampoline, climbing frames, singing games, action songs etc.

- Manual:- playing with water, sand, paint, puzzles, building blocks, toy cars, home corner, dressing up, pastry, cooking, and other special planned activities like helping to prepare a freeze for display.

- Talking and listening:- this is going on and actively encouraged throughout all activities. Especially important is looking at and discussing books from the book table.

- Using imagination:- dressing up, home corner, action songs, painting and pastry etc.

- Social skills:- learning to share with other members of the group, joining in group activities and relating to another child or adult within the group.

We are aware that children will come to us at different stages of their development. They may be well developed in some skills and less so in others. At playgroup, we recognise these differences. Each child is accepted and valued as a unique individual. They will be encouraged to develop at their own rate and in their own time.
