Canal Trip...
On bank holiday Monday - 5th May - a barge full of people made their way from Hope Church to Whaley Bridge canal basin.
We had a really nice warm day, and the rain managed to hold off (not that it mattered because we were all under cover anyway). We set sail on the Judith Mary and travelled a few miles along the canal visiting Bugsworth Basin, Furness Vale and eventually turning round at New Mills.
We also enjoyed a lunch of Hot Pot or Bangers and Mash, followed by a delicious home made Apple Pie & Cream. Mmmmmmmm!!
