Youth Breakfast...

What started out life as a Youth Breakfast on Sunday 20th April 2008 evolved into a breakfast for all!

The Youth Function Group were joined by Dawn & Ken Fendall & Terry Buckley in providing a pre-church breakfast with a choice of cereal and/or toast along with a drink.

The above date was chosen, as it was an All Age Sunday Worship to which our GB & BB Companies attend in uniform.

As a new venture no one involved could anticipate whether it would be a success, but all were pleasantly surprised when 15 children arrived at 9.45am for their breakfasts! Some were accompanied by parents or relatives and in total there were over 30 people assembled in the church hall.

Having had their breakfast some of the children made rice krispie and corn flake cakes covered in melted chocolate, others coloured in pictures. And most of the adults were also seen to be ‘colouring in’ too!

The krispie and corn flake cakes were ALL devoured by the congregation who stayed after church for our normal post service coffee.

Given the success on the day, it has been decided that it will become a regular Hope Church event to be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9.45am to 11am.

All the organisers thank all those who attended for making it so successful and look forward to seeing you in future months.
